Somewhere Beneath Those Waves

Overall Grade: A+

Monette's prose is gorgeous. This book is an anthology of short stories, some appearing in print for the first time. The genres vary greatly, some are fantasy, some are horror, some are sci-fi, and some are hard to pin down. As you can guess, it's a bit hard to summarize such a diverse array of literature. I will say that I thoroughly enjoyed the whole collection, and would especially recommend it to any fans of Monette's other works!
