On a Beam of Light

by Gene Brewer, 261pgs, paperback
Overall Grade: B-

I guess this was a pretty good follow up novel. At least because there's no movie of it I didn't know what was going to happen. Although, more of the "cases" in the psych ward just got more unbelievable. I also didn't connect as well with the other patients this time around, they weren't as memorable. And Robert or prot's problems actually became better and more understandable, not so mysterious. Knowing there's another book after this, I'm not at all convinced that we've seen the last of prot though. And the jist of the plot here is that prot has returned to Earth, and Robert as woken up from his comatose state. prot is back to help Robert get through his problems, we think. And Dr. Brewer finally discovers what is really at the core of Robert's problems.
