The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
PG, 110 minutes
Official Website
Overall Grade: B+
While quite funny at times, there was just something about this movie that didn't quite settle with my sense of the books. This one definitely includes a lot of bits from more than the first book & maybe some bits that aren't in the books at all. It was just all, I don't know, not like I thought of the books, except maybe Marvin. Physicist jokes & the point of view gun are good as well.
Story: Arthur Dent's house is being destroyed to make way for a new bypass. Unfortunately, his planet is also being destroyed to make way for a new hyperspace express route. Fortunately Arthur does have some luck in the form of not-so-Earthly friend named Ford Prefect that will unfortunately lead him on even more adventures than he'd have liked.
