Series: The Vampire Chronicles book 8
Overall Grade: B
A Germanic (Norse?) vampire arises after sleeping in a cave for centuries. This vampire makes his way to Marius, who then spends most of the novel describing episodes of his long, angsty vampiric life (and casually breaking the fourth wall to tell the reader that he's skipping bits that were already described in previous books by Lestat, Armand and Pandora.) So we get even more backstory on Marius, but little to no forward movement in the series as a whole.
